Spending The Day At South Beach

Ah, South Beach.
Soft sand, warm breezes, beautiful people.
This is not South Florida, though.
This is South Beach in lovely Chatham, MA – and just a stone’s throw away from the Bayside Resort Hotel.
South Beach is the place to see and be seen – that’s why it’s one of the most popular things to do on Cape Cod.
Watched over by the Chatham Lighthouse, South Beach is extremely popular and is always bustling with activity. You’ll find everyone there – from families to solo sunbathers. But don’t worry. The crowds never fill the beach; there is plenty of room for everyone.
South Beach’s gentle waters also make this an ideal swimming hole for kids. Parents can sit and relax on the beach while children play in the surf.
The breeze on the water is also just right for windsurfing – or perhaps, for flying a kite.
You can do just about anything you want at South Beach; spend the whole day and unwind.
Parking, however, could be your only problem. Parking at South Beach is limited to a half hour, so it’s recommended that visitors take a shuttle from downtown Chatham, or park a little further from the beach and make the short walk.
