1. West Dennis Beach: Located about mid-Cape and facing toward Buzzards Bay, West Dennis is perfect for families or beach-goers in search of solitude. The mile-long white sand beach is clean. the water temperature is mild, and the waves are gentle. There’s even a snack stand and children’s play area for the kiddies. Can’t beat that!
2. Coast Guard Beach: Located in Nauset, Coast Guard Beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. It features big rolling waves and spectacular natural beauty. Coast Guard Beach is considered to be Cape Cod’s premiere beach destination. Beware of drop offs and undertow.
3. Sandy Neck Beach: One of the most popular Cape Cod beaches around, Sandy Neck stretches six miles through Sandwich and Barnstable. Families love it for its open space – and so does the all-terrain crowd. Watch out for those buggies cruising the dunes.
4. Old Silver Beach: It may not be the biggest beach on Cape Cod, but Old Silver is certainly one of the most accessible. Just over the canal from the “mainland” Old Silver presents itself as one of the first quality beaches to appear.
